Mark Tobin is the Manager of Wedbush Securities New York Wealth Management. Mark brings over 30 years’ experience to this newly created role. For the past 10 years, he was the Senior Vice President and Manager of Stifel Los Angeles. Formerly, he also helped build and supervise the Private Client Services Group for Wells Fargo in Beverly Hills. The cornerstone of his success has been building and growing offices in new markets.

Mark began his career in the industry in Los Angeles as an advisor with Merrill Lynch, before moving onto Oppenheimer where he transitioned into a role in management. He is passionate about helping others and believes that as a manager, his role is to assist and support the brokers he works with. His management style is to create a supportive and open environment. What differentiates Mark and the advisors on his team is the philosophy of leading with your heart, not your wallet.

Born and raised in New York, Mark served as a 1st Lt. in the Army Corps of Engineers prior to moving to Los Angeles. He recently relocated back to New York City with his wife of 37 years and their daughter. Mark has always enjoyed outdoor activities, including high altitude trekking, and has summited Mount Kilimanjaro as well as other noteworthy mountains. He served on the board of Jewish Family Service in Los Angeles. Mark plans to continue to serve his local community in the future.

April Young serves as Vice President, Branch Manager of the Sacramento and Bay Area offices of Wedbush Securities. April oversees the growth and management of her sector and has established operational efficiency in each of her offices. She has over 19 years of industry experience and first began her career at AG Edwards, which eventually transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors, before joining Wedbush in 2011.

April has been successful in creating a team atmosphere in her offices that is welcoming, which allows her team to look forward to coming to work each morning. She exemplifies a “can do” attitude, leads with a strong work ethic, has an unstoppable drive towards success, and is a proactive problem solver. She is proud of the lifelong relationships she has built with the advisors on her team, her clients, and her community. Motivated by the goal of helping each advisor grow their practice, she excels at capturing new growth opportunities, pinpointing and addressing inefficiencies, effective communication and shaping her team in a constantly changing industry landscape. She is passionate about adding new advisors and staff to her team who share her same goals and mindset.

As a lifelong resident of the Greater Sacramento area, April attended California State University of Sacramento and obtained a degree in Business. In her spare time, she serves as a youth mentor and sports coach and volunteers regularly in her local community. Her hobbies include traveling, spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her family.

Katrina Dudley serves as the Manager of the La Jolla office of Wedbush Securities. She began her career in the Financial Services industry in 1985 and has held a variety of roles at companies such as LPL and First Wall Street, which was purchased by Wedbush in 2009.

Handling advisor related service matters is a top priority for Katrina. She is often complimented on her prompt responses for tackling challenges and using a fair and thoughtful management approach. Many of the advisors on her team have chosen to work with Katrina for 20+ years, as she goes out of her way to build relationships based on mutual respect and fosters a positive office culture.

She works with each advisor to grow and support their business and continues to seek out new advisors looking to build a practice based on deep client relationships.

Katrina was born and raised in San Diego and has resided in the North Park community for the past 20 years and lives in a historic home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature with friends and family and collecting antique Californian and Mexican tourist pottery.

Ryan Alling is a Financial Advisor in the La Jolla office of Wedbush Securities. His father, an industry veteran for almost 40 years, inspired Ryan to pursue a career in finance himself, and from a young age, he was passionate about overall financial literacy in America. He began his career in 2008 as an intern at First Wall Street Corporation, and has since held various positions before joining Wedbush as a registered associate in 2019. Ryan has a unique approach to financial planning and investment management that addresses a wide variety of problems for clients. He can help Millennial investors mitigate risk by providing calculated models of potential scenarios that could occur within using excess risk, and has an understanding of current trends that are often better suited for younger investors.

Ryan is often complimented on his dedication to growth and for his work ethic, discipline and positive mindset. He is seen as a center of influence among the networks he is part of, including health and fitness, psychology, marketing and business groups. As an entrepreneur himself, Ryan has a unique perspective on the financial challenges of business owners and other entrepreneurs.

Ryan graduated with his Bachelors of Art in Business Finance from San Francisco State University, and was born and raised in San Diego where he still resides today. His hobbies include reading, fitness, yoga, sports, hiking, riding dirt bikes, and snowboarding.

Ron Winkler, CPA serves as Managing Director, Investments for Wedbush Securities in our New York City office. Prior to Wedbush Ron spent 38 years of his career as the Founder and Managing Partner of Winkler & Co. CPAs where he was engaged mainly in the areas of tax, financial planning and tax sensitive investing.

Ron developed a passion for business and entrepreneurship in college and upon graduation he established and developed his own CPA firm by the age of 26. He prides himself on having provided the highest level of personalized, quality service to his loyal clients. This includes his ability to guide them through the “cradle to grave” financial aspects of their lives. Through his years of experience in the trenches, his clients often complimented him on his ability to provide them with solutions to their financial challenges. Through his extensive experience as a CPA, he has a special perspective on the tax and business aspects of financial planning, including custom solutions regarding retirement, gifting or estate planning.

Ron currently resides in Huntington, NY with his wife Laurie. They are proud to have raised 3 children into independent and well-rounded adults. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, salt water fishing, traveling and gardening.

James (“Jim”) entered the securities business as a financial advisor 31 years ago and has since become a trusted advisor and valued resource for his clients. He began his career in finance as an Assistant Branch Manager with Great Western Bank. He had a short stint with F.N. Wolf & Co., before becoming a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Sutro & Co., which became part of RBC Wealth Management in 2002 and where he remained until joining Wedbush in 2007. Throughout his career, he works with clients and continuously communicates the benefits of financial and estate planning strategies. By acting as a financial concierge to each of his clients, Jim brings his specialty of financial planning, retirement planning and crafting equity portfolios to every situation. Jim views working with extended families as not only a pleasure, but an honor.

Jim lives in Pilot Hill, California and has two daughters and three granddaughters. When he’s not working with clients, or spending time with his family, Jim enjoys to get outdoors and go boating, jet skiing, and snow skiing in his spare time.

As Managing Director of Investments at Wedbush Securities in our Honolulu office, Sean Satterfield is passionate about helping his clients develop strategies to achieve their financial goals. With approximately 23 years of diverse financial industry experience, Sean started his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in Hawaii, and then held roles as Regional Vice President for Morgan Stanley in Washington, Complex Director for UBS Financial Services and most recently Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Advisors in Honolulu.

Sean collaborates with many local professionals including CPAs, estate planning attorneys, insurance specialists, physicians, and philanthropists to ensure that each client’s wealth strategy is customized to their lifestyle, goals, and values. He hosts workshops and learning seminars to educate clients on important topics such as retirement planning, education planning, estate planning, taxation and more.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sean earned his Bachelors of Art degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He is currently enrolled in the College of Financial Planning where he is studying to obtain his Certified Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation. An active member in the local community, he serves as a board member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and the Punahou O-Men. Additionally, he volunteers at the Boy Scouts of America and Special Olympics Hawaii. Away from the office, Sean enjoys volleyball, coaching football and wrestling, weight-training, running marathons, and traveling with his wife and two children.

Timothy Canty serves as Vice President, Investments in our San Diego office. With over 32 years of experience in the Finance industry, Tim previously worked as a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors. In 1998, he founded his own firm, Emerald Bay Financial, which utilized predictive analytics to make informed decisions on purchasing distressed mortgages and notes from banks and hedge funds.

Tim was originally attracted to work in Finance because he saw it as an opportunity to help people from all walks of life in obtaining their dreams and goals through proper planning. He uses tools that allow him to build sensible plans which take giant obstacles typically discovered through the planning process, and break them down into realistic and manageable goals. Tim’s patience and understanding has helped break down many mountains for his clients into actionable and achievable steps.

Tim’s ideal client is a business owner or executive who can benefit from his experience in optimizing their firm’s retirement plan as well as building a personal plan to meet their own family’s goals. By offering efficient, objective, and unbiased advice and solutions, he is able to approach investing and planning as a holistic process to navigate clients through complicated challenges. As a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), he is able to provide addition insight into traditional retirement plans, such as a 401(k) or 403(b), as well as more advanced retirement and business planning, thus providing the opportunity for the business to plan for and grow to accommodate the needs of future generations.

Originally from Oakland, CA, Tim has lived in Rancho Santa Fe for 20 years with his wife and their twin teenage daughters. Tim attended the University of California, Davis and studied Agricultural Economics.
