Chip Richardson is an Independent Financial Advisor associated with Wedbush Securities. From the age of 14, Chip began following the stock market, and it became clear that he was destined for a career in Finance. Upon graduating college, he was hired by Dean Witter Securities, now Morgan Stanley, as a Financial Advisor and also worked at Paine Webber, now UBS, before joining Wedbush in 1999.
Chip excels in helping his clients understand the economy and the nature of the risks, rewards, and cycles that can impact an investment portfolio and the market. He invests time in helping his clients understand the emotional nature of securities prices and the governmental impact relative to financial assets. He is often complimented on his ability to stay in communication with his clients and keep them updated on changes within companies they have invested in or are interested in. He is also diligent in researching various companies, funds, and other financial products that could benefit his clients and sharing his findings with them.
Born in Birmingham, AL, Chip was raised in Saratoga, CA before moving to Oregon where he currently resides with his wife of 43 years, Sherri. They have two adult children and 3 grandchildren. Chip obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from Oregon State University, and he is a member of The Kruse Way Rotary Club and is an Eagle Scout. His hobbies include gardening, golfing, skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, camping, bird watching, and rockhounding. In his free time, he enjoys reading about history, economics, and science.
