When Will the Cruise Line Industry Return?

Major cruise line’s announced their intended date of return has been pushed back from early-July to mid-September. Equity Research Analyst, James Hardiman, appeared on CNBC to discuss steps cruise lines must take before re-entering waters. He explains how companies should only use larger ships with a 50% passenger capacity to ensure social distancing. Additionally, companies must work with the CDC to be permitted to dock and sail from all national and international ports. Although there are many obstacles in the way of re-opening, Hardiman believes demand has not presented itself as one of them.
